Amazing Screw-On Head

If you haven't seen it yet, do yourself a favor and go to the Sci Fi channel's website and watch the pilot episode of The Amazing Screw-On Head. I'm having a monumentally shitty week at work, and it really cheered me up.

WTF, you ask? It's from Mike Mignola, better known as the creator of Hellboy, and it's about this disembodied (robot?) head... thing... that serves the President Of America (most recently, Abraham Lincoln) in the defense of our great country against all That Which Man Was Not Meant To Know, including vampires, werewolves, monkeys, elder gods, and the self-proclaimed Emperor Zombie. It's not an easy job, but with a diverse collection of bodies to be screwed into, and the help of his manservant Mr. Groin and faithful mummified hound "Mr. Dog"... Well, it's still not exactly effortless, but he does usually get the job done.

It's awesome lovecraftian/steampunk/historical revisionary wackiness, animated in that creepy Mignola-esque woodcut style, and the voice cast includes Paul Giamatti and David Hyde Pierce, who have been given plenty of witty dialog to work with. So basically it's totally awesome, and you should go watch it.
